How do I report spam and phishing emails?

You're able to report spam or phishing emails through Outlook on your PC/Mac, Web Outlook and Mobile Outlook to help stop the spread of spam. View the appropriate sections below for specific instructions.



Report a spam or phishing email via Outlook on your PC or Mac:

1. Open “Outlook”

2. Open the “email” that you want to report as spam or phishing email

3. Click “Report Message” at the top right of the email and select the appropriate term such as Junk or Phishing

4. Click “Report” and the message will be reported



Report a spam or phishing email via Web Outlook:

1. Login to “web outlook” at https://www.office.com

2. Open the “email” that you want to report as spam or phishing email

3. Click the 3 dots at the top right of the email and select “Report Message” at the bottom of the list. Then select the appropriate term such as junk or phishing.

4. You can also select the exclamation envelope icon and report that way as well.

5. After selecting the appropriate term, select “Report” and the message will be reported



Report a spam or phishing email via Mobile Outlook on your phone or tablet:

1. Open “Outlook” on your device

2. Open the “email” you want to report as spam or phishing email

3. Touch the “3 dots” at the top of the email, NOT at the very top

4. Touch “Report Message”. (Note: This may appear slightly different on Android phones and show at the bottom)

5. Select the appropriate term such as Junk or Phishing

6. Touch “Report” and the message will be reported
