Pearson textbooks - Faculty Instructions
If you do not see a MyLabs and Mastering link
- Go to the Content > Textbook > Existing Activities > External Learning Tools
- Choose MyLab and Mastering Tools
- The link will show up at the bottom of the list. Drag to reposition, if desired.
To select your Pearson course to pair
- Go to Content > Textbook > MyLabs and Mastering Tools Launch
- Select Get Started
- Create a Course:
- Copy an existing (if you want to use a past quarter course as the base)
- Enter a code (if you've already started the process in your Pearson account)
- Enter a course ID (if you are using another Instructors course as the base)
- Update content availability and Due Dates immediately or return by selecting MyLabs and Mastering > Open MyLabs & Mastering.
Deep Link Pearson activities
- Go to Course Tools > Course Admin > Course Builder
- In the left column Add Content > left click and hold on the Pearson logo > drag to a folder/location in the center column that you wish to add a deep link
- Select the links you want to add to your course in this locations > press the Add to Course button. Repeat as needed.
Grade Sync
- Go to Content > Textbook > MyLabs and Mastering Tools Launch
- Select Grade Sync
- Turn Automatic Grade Sync = On
- In Items to Sync, place a check in any item that you wish to send Pearson results to Brightspace Grades. Checking All will sync every item. You will see a green Auto sync enabled notation.
- Sync Grades Now > Synced notation appears to confirm grade sync is connected. An Items synced message also displays.
