How do I restore an accidentally deleted assessment?

Accidents happen! So, what happens if you accidentally delete an assignment?

Accidentally deleting an assessment can be very upsetting, especially if it has already been completed by learners and graded. So what can you do to fix this mistake? It all depends on the assessment tool:

Assignment?

• Can I restore it? Yes, through the Assignment tool’s Event Log! 
• What gets restored? Everything, including learner submissions and grades.

Grades item?

• Can I restore it? Yes, through the Grades tool’s Event Log! 
• What gets restored? Everything, including learner scores.

Rubric?

• Can I restore it? No, but don’t worry. The system won’t allow you to delete a rubric in use. 
• What gets restored? Nothing.

Quiz?

• Can I restore it? Yes, in the Quiz tool's More Actions menu.
• What gets restored? Everything, including learner submissions and grades.

Survey?

• Can I restore it? No.
• What gets restored? Nothing.

Question from the Question Library?

• Can I restore it? No.
• What gets restored? Nothing, but if the question was used in a quiz or survey, you will still be able to find it there.
