How do I do a Brightspace Course Reset?

A Course Reset will wipe all of the course assets and settings. Be extremely cautious when using the Course Reset tool. NEVER reset a course section with Student data.

Things to know/consider before using Course Reset

• If this is a shared TEMPLATE of which you are not the primary contact and/or if it has both NFC and ONL options, please reach out for support.
• TEMPLATE or section content CANNOT BE RESTORED after the Course Reset process is complete
• Be extremely cautious when using the Course Reset tool. NEVER reset an Active course section with Student data.

Steps to complete a Course Reset

1. Watch How To: Use the Course Reset Tool (no audio). 
2. Enter the desired TEMPLATE or section
3. Course Tools > Course Admin > Course Reset
4. Place a checkmark in the box “Reset course content, activities, associated files, user grades, user progress, and interaction data”
   
5. Select Reset Course at the bottom of the page
6. Place a checkmark in the box “I am aware that resetting this course cannot be undone. I would still like to continue to reset the data in this course” > Reset
   
7. When Course Reset has been processed the Audit Log will show Status: Completed.
